Learn to pass the prison psych test to earn your freedom

The PCLR is determining the fate of prison inmates worldwide. The stakes of passing a standardized test have never been so great! Failing this test can literally mean spending additional decades in prison and in some states a recommendation for the death penalty.

The PCLR is the most common test to predict your likelihood of recidivism. (return to prison). Many parole boards require that this test be given so they can make a decision on your release. So it is very important that you do well.

This guide will take you step by step through the test and explain which traits the clinicians are looking for, how they will score your answers, and exercises to prepare. Many seemingly innocent traits that many people have are scored against you. If you, your friend, or client have recently been convicted of a felony or are facing a parole hearing soon, it is very likely they will be forced to take this test. You need to arm them with knowledge!

This test was originally designed to find psychopaths in the prision population with a score over 30 (fewer is better). But the purpose of the test has drifted. It has changed into a risk assessment test with pass scores well below 30. Many parole boards have made the pass score at 25. The average prison inmate has a PCLR score of 23. It doesn't take much to wind up on the wrong side of the fence! In Brazil they have made the pass score at 23! The number of false positives is very high (people failing the test that would not have reoffended.) If there was ever a time to do well on a standardized test this is it! You need to know the rules of the game before you can play to win.
